While the younger players enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Fordel Firs the Squad group got fired up for the Sportif International Training Camp which was held in the Edinburgh University Sports Centre in Edinburgh.  The camp attracted many of GBs top young international players as well as members of the Danish & Portuguese national teams. In total 150 players attended the camp, the  pace and tempo was charged which made a fantastic atmosphere to train.

With a coaching team including Olympic medallist Nuno Delgado from Portugal, World medallist our very  own John Buchanan, Kim Christiansen National Coach for Denmark and groundwork expert Jesus Perves  from Spain the camp was truly International.

Countdown to the Sportif International Tournament and Training Camp 2012 has already begun, check the web page for more details.

The weather stayed dry but somehow everyone managed to get wet and muddy? This year’s summer camp was as always action packed, judo, team games, Olympic Games, balloon and water gun team challenge. Everyone gave their very best so when it came time to award the Top Boy and Top girl prize it was a difficult choice. But all the coaches agreed that Joris Caldow and Hannah Wood should take the coveted prize. Well done!

Choosing the cleanest bunk was also tough but the singing and dancing act as well as the army barrack clean room meant that in the end Team Caldow’s   room was clear winners.

Keep it up everybody, I’m sure you all keep your rooms at home equally tidy!
