Peter recently returned from a two week trip to the West Indies where he delivered a programme of coach education seminars and workshops on behalf of the IJF (International Judo Federation). The course was a part of the Olympic Solidarity programme which is delivered around the World by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) . Hosted by the Barbados Olympic Association the course attracted coaches from around the Caribbean region. The course which was split between practical mat work and theoretical lecture style work shops was well received and the coaches taking part gave excellent input.

It wasn’t all hard work though and there was the opportunity to relax on the beach from time to time…………………. Its a tough job but someone has to do it.

The Scottish Championships is always a bench mark of success for Sportif Judos performance programme. Sportif has topped the over all medal table for this event for the past 4 years straight. That is fantastic, but it does add a little extra pressure as everyone feels they have something to live up to. The team of 2011 did not let the side down with a massive medal haul of 37 medals they doubled the tally of the second place club making it 5 in a row. It was a huge success with new players breaking through and established players once again delivering the goods. Well done everyone, your hard work has paid off.
