Sportif International Tournament and Training Camp8th – 11th April 2012 for Pre Cadets, Cadets & U20 In April 2012, Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital City will host the Sportif International Judo Tournament and Training Camp. The Sportif International will attract talented and motivated young judo players from around the World.Following the Tournament players will have the opportunity to develop their individual technical and randori skills as they work with a team of World class coaches including World and Olympic medallists at the Training Camp. Date: Tournament Sunday 8th April Venue: Meadowbank Sports Centre, London Rd, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK Age: Pre cadet, Cadet & U20 Date: Training Camp 9th , 10th & 11th April 2012 Venue: Edinburgh University Centre for Sport and Exercise, Pleasance Building, City of Edinburgh Coaches in 2012 will include: Peter Gardiner – GB Camp Director & Coach Nuno Delgado – Portugal Olympic, World & European medallist Flavio Canto – Brazil Olympic & World Cup medallist Kim Christiansen - Denmark National Cadet and U20 Coach for Denmark John Buchanan – GB World medallist / Judoscotland National Talent Coach Jesus Perves – Spain Specialized ground-work expert Plus Guest coaches IMPORTANT NOTE: Travel & Accommodation Edinburgh is one of Europe’s top tourist destinations it is well service by road, rail or air. Teams travelling from abroad will be picked up and dropped off at Edinburgh airport. The training venue is situated in the heart of the Old City providing perfect access to shops and restaurants. At peak holiday times accommodation can be difficult to locate in the City. With this in mind Sportif have pre booked reasonably priced hostel & hotel accommodation close by.
