Peter Gardiner – Director of Coaching
Peter is the founder of Sportif Judo and has been a professional judo coach and coach educator all his working life.Peter lectures on coach and player development for the International Judo Federation, the European Judo Union and Bath University.

Preeti Gardiner – Development and Performance Coach
Preeti is one of the most experienced women’s coaches in GB. She has been instrumental in the development of coach education programmes at Sportif Judo and jointly pioneered the development of learning through judo specific games and exercises.

John Buchanan – Development and Performance Coach
John Buchanan started judo as a beginner at Sportif Judo aged 9. His journey from beginner to Olympian epitomises the Sportif ethos.As a young enthusiastic beginner John developed his skill and passion for the sport. His rise to the world stage was not meteoric but gradual and steady. John is one of only three Scotsmen to win a World medal and was selected as British Judo Team Captain for the Sydney Olympic Games 2000.

Clare Buchanan – Development and Performance Coach
Claire is a first class judo coach. An Ex British Team member with a string of International results Claire brings a wealth of experience and technical skill.
